Independence and Resilience January 2016

 

This forum focussed on ways of developing independent and resilient learners. There was also a discussion about the reasons why some of our students are not resilient and give up too easily. Could it be down to us as teachers; do we lack resilience in encouraging students to be independent? If students are stuck, or are on the verge of giving up, do we keep encouraging them or do we just give them the answers?

 

All the resources for this forum are on the powerpoint and notes made during the session. There were loads of ideas shared during the forum and these are all on the powerpoint or notes from the session. Most of the ideas don't ned special planning or any special resources made, making it so easy to use the ideas from the forum.
