TEACHING & LEARNING

Our Teaching & Learning forum meet to share outstanding ideas amongst the T&L reps from each department (and anyone else who wishes to attend). These ideas can then be disseminated across the school via departments. 

 

The forum will focus on staff sharing their outstanding ideas and ways of meeting the High 5 T&L priorities:

 

T&L priorities
1. PROGRESS
Especially with our white British students who in too many cases don't make expected progress.

2. INDEPENDENCE
We want our learners to be able to analyse and evaluate, think deeply about what they are learning and why they are learning it.

3. PERSISTENCE
Learners that solve problems for themselves and don't rely upon the teacher for all the answers. Learners that take responsibility for their learning and want to challenge themselves.

4. PRIDE
Students that take pride in all of their learning and this is shown by high standards of presentation, homework and coursework. Deadlines are always met!

5. RESPONSE
Students follow up on our feedback and make improvements to their work.
